ROSCOMMON, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A Wayne County couple face more than a dozen charges for allegedly stealing $140,000 worth of money and property from a Roscommon man.

The suspects are identified as 40-year-old Jeremy Cole Ray and 42-year-old Andrea Louise Ray from Inkster; they have been arraigned.

The Roscommon County Sheriff’s Office said a Roscommon man filed a complaint last month and claimed he’d been  a victim of fraud and theft.

Officials say the investigation revealed the alleged victim wasn’t home for an extended amount of time. During that time, the suspects allegedly entered the residence and stole most of the man’s belongings. That included vehicles, tractors, and boats. Officials said the couple stole large amounts of case and wrote fraudulent checks.

The sheriff’s office said they uncovered much of the stolen property, but tens of thousands of dollars remain missing.
