TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Northern Michigan’s largest airport is looking take off by expanding its facilities.
Cherry Capital Airport in Traverse City wants to double the number of terminals, improve amenities and make some behind the counter improvements with a $120 million expansion.

Airport CEO Kevin Kline says the protentional bond would be paid through airline and auto rentals and airport revenue. Crews hope to begin construction in 2026.
