SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Visitors to Kewadin Casino locations will soon breathe easier.
The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians board of directors approved a resolution requiring all five of its Kewadin Casino locations to transition to smoke-free establishments.

The board said the decision reflects the tribe’s commitment to prioritizing the health and comfort of both casino visitors and employees and creating a more welcoming environment for all.
This shift comes in response to growing feedback from guests and team members who have voiced strong preferences for a smoke-free experience inside the casinos. Kewadin Casinos will start implementing its smoke-free policy within the next 6 weeks.
