LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Former presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has suspended his bid for the presidency, but a Michigan judge ruled he cannot withdraw from the state’s November general election ballot.
Court of Claims Judge Christopher Yates said Democratic Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson “acted within the bounds of the law” by rejecting Kennedy’s request to withdraw from the ballot.

Kennedy, who had qualified for Michigan’s Nov. 5 general election ballot in April as a Natural Law Party nominee, suspended his campaign last month and endorsed GOP presidential nominee former President Donald Trump.
“Elections are not just games, and the Secretary of State (SOS) is not obligated to honor the whims of candidates for public office,” wrote Yates. He is an appointee of Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
