LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Grocery retailer Aldi is raising its starting pay for employees amid a hiring blitz as the company continues to grow.

Aldi announced the new starting wage for store employees will be $18 an hour, while the new starting wage for warehouse workers will be $23 an hour. Aldi employees who work at least 30 hours a week will also have access to benefits like health insurance and paid time off.

The company will focus on filling 13,000 positions as it prepares for the upcoming holiday season and the addition of new stores.
