LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Vice President Kamala Harris launched a “Republicans for Harris” initiative, and it’s looking to woo on-the-fence and moderate GOP voters to the Democratic ticket in November.

Who is supporting Republicans for Harris?

The list of supporters so far includes a who’s who of “Never Trump” Republicans who are calling for “millions of Republican voters to reject the chaos, division, and violence of Donald Trump.” Those include former U.S. Rep. Dave Trott of Michigan, former Illinois congressmen Adam Kinzinger and Joe Walsh, and former New Jersey Gov. Christine Todd Whitman.

It makes sense that Harris’ national director of Republican outreach is Austin Weatherford. He worked as a onetime chief of staff for Kinzinger.

Weatherford said the campaign would be “showing up and taking the time every single day to earn the vote of Republicans who believe in putting country over party,” he said.

What about Evangelicals for Harris?

Not to be outdone, “Evangelicals for Harris” is backing the Democratic nominee despite huge gaps between the party’s platform and Biblical principles.

It is a project of “Faith Voters,” a 501(c)(4) which is categorized as a social welfare organization. Faith Voters describes itself on its website as “a diverse community of believers pursuing the common good and seeking to build a more perfect Union.” It also stands against Project 2025; however, Project 2025 is not part of the Trump platform.
