GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – There’s mixed reaction to the new price at the parking meters for boats in Grand Haven.

Some folks are not happy with the new meters that charge $60 to park a boat at the marina. Others accept that there is a price to pay for the limited number of spots.

The $60 charge is twice the normal fee, but city managers say the price reflects the demand during the Coast Guard Festival. Once the big ships leave town, the city says the price will drop back down. The festival runs through Sunday, Aug. 4.
