BIG RAPIDS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Michigan is on the GOP’s radar.

Vance will speak on similar themes as Trump, including the economy, inflation, and manufacturing. He’s set to speak at 1:30 p.m. at Majestic Friesians Horse Farms. It’s near the Gotion megasite, an electric vehicle factory that’s being constructed despite community pushback and its ties to communist China.

In a press release, Vance said that the policies of the Biden-Harris administration is “wreaking havoc” on the auto industry in Michigan. ” Stellantis and Ford Motor Co. have closed two major engine plants; Stellantis recently laid off over 2,000 workers at a truck plant in Warren; and General Motors laid off 1,300 workers in Detroit.”

In addition, Vance said Harris’ “proposed EV mandate threatens to eliminate at least 25,000 auto jobs in Michigan.”

Trump and Vance appear to be making Michigan a priority in their campaign. The state is predicted to be a major swing state in the November election.
