CNBC reported on Friday that the Musk-backed PAC is using voter data to back former President Donald Trump in the 2024 election. The PAC is accused of putting a link on its website that says “register to vote.” When a form pops up, people enter their address, zip code, and phone number. However, the website does not actually register anyone to vote.
According to several media reports, legal experts could not point to any Michigan laws the PAC allegedly broke.
