LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is throwing her support behind Vice President Kamala Harris.

The move come after President Biden announced on Sunday he was dropping out of the reelection campaign but would finish out his remaining term.

Whitmer has been ‘riding with Biden’ for several years and served as his reelection campaign cochair. Recently, she flipped the script when she said a cognitive test might be in Biden’s best interest.

While Biden has endorsed Kamala Harris there is no word on who the Democratic candidate will be.

The Democratic National Convention is next month in Chicago.
