Also in attendance will be his newly named running mate U.S. Sen. J.D. Vance from Ohio.

The rally will start at 5 p.m. at the Van Andel Arena in downtown Grand Rapids. Doors open at 1 p.m. at the venue at 130 Fulton St. W, and people can secure general admission tickets at this link.

The Secret Service has received deserved criticism over its failure to properly protect the president last Saturday. In addition, there is much speculation on why the Secret Service did not follow up on tips that a gunman had climbed on the roof nearby. It wasn’t immediately clear what additional safety measures will be in place Saturday.

Trump’s visit marks a stretch of eight days of politically charged visits in Michigan. Vice President Kamala Harris will be in the Battle Creek and Kalamazoo areas on Wednesday to meet with Republicans and Independents. Her focus is reproductive freedom. Her visit comes right after President Joe Biden’s visit to Detroit last Friday.
