DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Craig Monroe was removed from his role as an analyst on Tigers television and radio broadcasts in June after a social media post accused him of sexually molesting a girl in Florida.

The accuser alleged that the abuse continued for years, even during Monroe’s playing career in Detroit. Monroe was at Comerica Park preparing for the series opener between the Tigers and Washington Nationals on June 11 when a Bally Sports Detroit executive, within 30 minutes of seeing the post, demanded he leave the ballpark.

Monroe has not called a Tigers game since June 9 and has not posted on social media since May 8. Monroe has not been criminally charged in the matter but the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office in Florida is investigating the allegations.
