LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A Political Action Committee (PAC) called “Republican Voters Against Trump” has rolled out a $500,000 billboard campaign in several swing states which encourage former Trump voters to cast their ballots for presumptive Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in November.

The campaign includes 76 billboards showing alleged former Trump voters from Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin with the message: “I’m a former Trump voter. I’m voting for Harris.”

The group is also funding a 60-second ad that will run on streaming platforms and YouTube.

Michiganders will see the billboards run through Aug. 31 in the Detroit and Grand Rapids areas. Two Michiganders featured include Dwight, “a gun owner”, and Tom, “a lover of the Constitution.”

“Republican Voters Against Trump” is funded by “Republican Accountability PAC,” according to its website.

The video ad and billboards are paid for by the Republican Accountability PAC Inc.  Sarah Longwell is the founder, who is also the publisher of “The Bulwark.”

Liberty Paige, reporting for stevegruber.comdescribed “The Bulwark” as “a political news and opinion website founded by anti-Trump conservatives.” “The Bulwark” is described on its website as “Home to Sarah Longwell, Tim Miller, Bill Kristol, JVL and more. No partisan loyalties. No tribal prejudices.”

Paige and Michigan News Source found Bill Kristol is a former Fox News contributor and co-founder of “The Weekly Standard.” Tim Miller previously worked for Jeb Bush when he ran for president in 2016 and is a former spokesperson for the Republican National Committee (RNC). “JVL” is Jonathan V. Last who is a journalist and author.

In addition, Paige reports that, “Major financial backers for this group include Reid Hoffman (co-founder of LinkedIn), John Pritzker (billionaire and philanthropist – family owns Hyatt Hotels), and Seth Klarman (billionaire investor and hedge fund manager).”

Michigan News Source reached out to “Republican Voters Against Trump” to ask them about Dwight and Tom from Michigan. They did not respond by press time.
