LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – After an apparent gun shot hit former President Trump in the right ear at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday afternoon, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer offered her well wishes on social media.
The Democratic Governor, who has traded barbs with Trump before, said she is “horrified” by these events.
There is no place for political violence in this country, period. This is not how we solve our differences.
I am horrified to learn of this news, and we will be following the situation closely. I am grateful for those in law enforcement who stepped in immediately.

The Secret Service quickly surrounded Trump after he grabbed his right ear and it started to bleed. Several other gunshots rang out afterwards. They walked with Trump off the stage while he pumped his fist at the crowd.
