WASHINGTON (Michigan News Source) – As temperatures in the state are predicted to linger in the mid-90s this week, the race for Michigan’s open U.S. Senate seat is also heating up.

Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-Lansing), who was elected to the U.S. House in 2018, has released a campaign ad she hopes will set her apart from the other candidates.

Hill Harper is the other Democrat running for the seat currently held by U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow (D). She will retire in November after serving more than 20 years in that position. Republicans Justin Amash, Sherry O’Donnell, Sandy Pensler, and Mike Rogers are running as well.
