GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – In response to soaring home prices and steep interest rates, the Ottawa County Housing Commission is exploring the creation of tiny home communities.

As the average home price in Ottawa County approaches $400,000, the commission believes tiny homes, typically priced at $150,000 or less, could provide an affordable housing solution. These compact homes are defined as dwellings under 1,000 square feet.
