DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Ford Motor Company is recalling more than 100,000 Lincoln Aviator SUV’s due to problems with the rearview cameras.
Owners began complaining of a distorted view and tests showed the problem may be caused by cell phone usage. While this may seem more like an annoyance to some, the flickering rear view image, while a vehicle is in reverse, can reduce visibility behind the vehicle and increase the risk of a crash.

Ford reportedly received 478 reports of rearview camera issues between August of 2019 and last month.
The recall affects models built between 2020 and 2024 and Ford says they have not been told of any accidents or injuries due to the problem. Owners will be receiving notices about the recall beginning July 2nd and are advised not to use their cellphone while the vehicle is in reverse.
