Both candidates have dropped support from their base with Slotkin’s lead among Democrats going from 84% – 7% to 75% – 4% and Rogers lead with Republicans going from 71% – 2% to 65% – 2%.

“Slotkin still has the lead over Mike Rogers, but it’s a very close race,” Steve Mitchell told Michigan News Source. He conducted the poll. “It will be close race all way to the end.”

There has been a change in Independent support as well. Rogers is now leading 32% – 30% while he trailed with Independents two weeks ago at 30–27%.

Slotkin (53%) has a huge lead over Hill Harper (8%) and Nasser Beydoun (1%) in the Democratic Primary, while Mike Rogers (28%) has a solid lead over Justin Amash (8%), Sandy Pensler (3%), and Sherry O’Donnell (0%) in the GOP Primary.

“Pensler, who has spent at least three million dollars attacking Rogers still has not been able to gain any traction,” Mitchell said.

U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow is vacating her seat in November and retiring. She’s been a member of the U.S. Senate for more than 20 years. Whoever wins her seat will serve alongside Democratic U.S. Senator Gary Peters.
