DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – The ransomware attack on the Ascension Health network is being repaired and officials say they should have the system restored by next week. The healthcare company was hit with a cyber attack in May affecting all their facilities.

The electronic system that contains patients’ medical records has been largely inaccessible since the May 8 cyberattack that hit Ascension, one of the country’s largest nonprofit health systems with some 140 hospitals and hundreds of clinics across 19 states.
