DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Detroit-based Rocket Mortgage has agreed to pay up to $3.5 million to settle a class action lawsuit filed by mortgage bankers over unpaid overtime wages. Both sides reached a settlement in April.
The lawsuit involved ten plaintiffs: nine from Arizona and one from Michigan. These individuals had worked for Rocket Mortgage for varying durations before leaving at different times in 2022. According to the lawsuit, each routinely worked more than 40 hours a week. While they received some overtime pay, the lawsuit alleged it was not the correct amount.
