GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The pay for the Ottawa County Board of Commissioners is likely going up by 60% percent at the start of 2025.
The county’s compensation board recently voted to approve the pay hike over the objection of compensation board chairman Larry Jackson, who called the raise “outlandish.”

The county board chair’s salary would rise to $43,400 a year, the vice chair would go up to $34,400, and the rest of the commission would be paid $33,300s.
The county board will vote on the raises May 14.
