LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Teacher salaries in Michigan are now under the national average.

A new report finds the average salary of a teacher in the state is $64,884. That’s about the same as neighboring Great Lakes states.

The average starting salary for a teacher in Michigan is just under $39,000. The state does not have a minimum salary requirement for teachers.
