DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Vice President Kamala Harris will be the keynote speaker at the Michigan Democrats Legacy Dinner on June 8th.
Harris’ impending visit serves as a reminder to voters that Michigan remains a swing state in the November election, and both sides of the political aisle are trying to capture those votes.

Over the last month, both former President Donald Trump and members of the Biden administration have stopped by Michigan to pick up votes. Earlier this month, Trump held a rally in Freeland. President Joe Biden spoke at a NAACP dinner on May 19, while First Lady Jill Biden and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff toured the state that same week.
Michigan has 15 electoral votes up for grabs. Voters in the Great Lakes State chose Donald Trump in 2016 and Joe Biden in 2020.
