WASHINGTON (Michigan News Source) – Congressman Dan Kildee (D-Flint) is retiring when his term ends this year, and he’s spending some of his remaining time in office deflecting from the border invasion and accusing former President Donald Trump of “bigotry.”

Kildee recently appeared on MSNBC and said there’s a certain “cohort” of people who are swayed by Trump because of their “fear” and “anger.”

While Kildee may call it bigotry, others may call it cause for concern. Last month, police say illegal immigrant Brandon Ortiz-Vite killed 25-year-old Ruby Garcia in Grand Rapids. The two dated, but the 25-year-old Ortiz-Vite had been deported under the Trump administration only to be let back into the country once President Joe Biden was elected to the White House.

In addition, the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office said an illegal migrant from Mexico, who is awaiting an immigration detainer from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), broke into a home and raped two girls in March.

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has promised to make Michigan a welcoming place by offering illegal immigrants $500 per month to set up home in the state. Democratic lawmakers are proposing bills that would allow illegal immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses.
