FLINT, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Legal proceedings against 27-year-old Timothy John Kildee, the nephew of Congressman Dan Kildee, will be on hold until at least June 20 after a judge ordered a mental competency examination.
Timothy J. Kildee is charged with the murder of his father, Timothy Edward Kildee, in March.

The younger Kildee faces more than a dozen criminal charges, including murder, related to an alleged crime spree. Police say that includes a break-in and theft at a relative’s home, and a car crash which officials say happened after the murder. Kildee was arraigned at a hospital while he recovered from his injuries.
In addition, investigators found an unregistered gun in the pickup truck after the crash. They believe it is the murder weapon.
Kildee is not being granted bond on the felony murder charge; however, a bond of $100,000 per charge has been set for all the other counts. That totals $1.4 million.
Kildee is scheduled for another court hearing on June 20 to review results of his mental competency examination
