LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Special elections in two Michigan districts on Tuesday propelled Democrats back into the majority in the Michigan House and restored their party’s full control of state government.
Mai Xiong won the special election in the 13th District while Peter Herzberg won in the 25th District. Both districts are in the surrounding Detroit area.

The Michigan House has been tied 54-54 since November when two lawmakers in those districts won mayoral races and vacated their House seats.
