Lansing, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – NBC is facing a call to boycott one of its signature shows following the hiring of Ronna McDaniel, the former Chair of the Republican National Committee.

McDaniel, also the former Michigan Republican Party Chair, has been hired as a paid political consultant at the network, and after an announced appearance on Sunday’s Meet the Press show, a former NBC executive Mike Sington, called for a boycott of the show in protest of her hiring. On X (formerly Twitter) Sington cited McDaniels role “in Trump’s (alleged) plot to assemble a fake slate of electors to overturn the results of the 2020 election.”

Many conservatives, including Charlie Kirk and former President Donald Trump’s attorney Jenna Ellis, also criticized McDaniels move to NBC claiming she had switched sides to help the Democrats.

McDaniel resigned as Chair of the RNC earlier this month, amid criticism from many Republicans, including Trump, for the party’s performance in the 2020 elections and fundraising.
