LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The Associated Press is reporting that former President Donald Trump has captured the GOP nomination in Michigan.

Trump has consistently doubled GOP challenger Nikki Haley, and Tuesday in Michigan was no exception. An hour-an-a-half after polls closed, Trump was sweeping the day with 68.5% of votes, trouncing Haley’s 30.1%.

On the Democratic ticket, President Joe Biden had received 78.5% of the vote, with “uncommitted” making up 16% of voters overall. Rumblings of voting “uncommitted” in the Democratic Primary emerged in recent weeks as a protest by Palestinian sympathizers and Arab-Americans against the Biden administration’s support of Israel in the war against Hamas.
