FLINT, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Severe thunderstorms brought large hail while several possible tornadoes toppled trees, knocked down power lines, and damaged homes in Michigan overnight.
Weather officials are working to confirm tornadoes in Genesee, Van Buren, and Calhoun Counties.

In Genesee County’s Grand Blanc Township, a possible tornado ripped through the area but no one was hurt. The storms forced the cancelation of school.
Meanwhile, a reported tornado brought down trees in Calhoun County’s Marshall and Lawton in Van Buren County. Residents also reported hail near Battle Creek.
Nearly 50,000 customers Michigan and Ohio woke up in the dark on Wednesday while crews worked to get the lights back on.
Temperatures will dip back down to the 30s on Thursday, but a warm weekend is predicted.
