LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) announced this week that Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) is available to Michigan residents affected by severe storms that struck parts of Michigan last August.
This applies to workers in Eaton, Ingham, Ionia, Kent, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, and Wayne counties, and residents whose employment or self-employment was interrupted by the disaster have until March 27th of this year to file for jobless benefits.
