GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Fewer people visited Grand Rapids and Kent County for ArtPrize in 2023, but they spent more money than they did in 2022.
A new 38-page report on the festival released by student researchers at Grand Valley State University showed attendance dropped 5.2%. However, spending rose from $24.6 million in 2022 to $40.3 in 2023 from people who traveled to downtown primarily for ArtPrize.

Results found people visited from 15 states and from Mexico.
