MARQUETTE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A 23-year-old Upper Peninsula man has been convicted by a federal jury for defacing Temple Jacob, a Jewish synagogue in Hancock.
Nathan Weeden of Houghton has been found guilty for conspiring with others when he spray painted swastikas and other symbols on the outside walls of Temple Jacob in 2019.

“Today’s swift conviction sends a strong message that hate will not be tolerated in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula,” said U.S. Attorney Mark Totten, who was in Marquette for the trial.
