WASHINGTON (Michigan News Source) – After several days of speculation, Congressman Jack Bergman (R-MI) made it official late on Friday and said he is in the race to be speaker of the U.S. House.

Bergman made the announcement after U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio fell short of the required number of votes for a third consecutive ballot and withdrew from the race.
