MARQUETTE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – An Upper Peninsula fishing group is casting a wide net, and wants to express their gratitude to veterans with a free fishing trip.
The South Shore Fishing Association based in Marquette is hosting the annual Veteran’s Fishing Day on August 5 starting at 8 a.m.

The day will start with fishing on Lake Superior and be followed by a boat parade. A local fish house will clean the catches for the veterans while they enjoy lunch with their families.
