DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Sunday brought the MLB Draft as the Detroit Tigers had the no. 3 overall pick choosing Max Clark from Franklin Community High School in Indiana. Clark is the best prep prospect out of Indiana this year and one of the best in the nation.

Clark says, “I model my game after two players, Bryce Harper for his player and constent work ethic, and I also go after Tim Anderson because of his passion.”

The dual player is an outfielder but can also pitch. On the mound, he has recorded a 97 mph fastball showing the type of arm he has. It is said by the MLB Draft Central that Clark has four of the five tools in hitting, fielding, throwing, and running. His power was shown in the 2022 Perfect Game showcase when he hit a home run 12 rows deep at Dodger Stadium.

At Franklin Community HS this past year, he hit .646 with an .808 on-base percentage with 52 walks in 28 games. He was named Indiana’s Gatorade Player of the Year from 2021 through 2023. He played for Team USA in the U-18 Baseball World Cup in 2022 winning a gold medal hitting .280 recording a clutch home run against Canada and then recording three hits in the gold medal game vs. Chinese Taipei.

Off the field, Clark had a 4.0 grade point average and helped in the community coaching the 10-year old Little League players.
