SAGINAW, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – It’s been 17 days since pro-life activist Mark Zimmerman ended up at the hospital due to what he claims is being run over twice by 88-year-old abortionist Theodore Roummel, MD, on June 23rd.

Live Action News has reported that Zimmerman, who prays regularly outside of the Women’s Center of Flint & Saginaw in Saginaw Twp, has accused Roummel of breaking his leg by running him over – twice.
Zimmerman said, “I was standing in the driveway and the abortionist ran over my leg. And then he had to reverse to get off my leg, so he ran me over twice. He parked his car and came over when the police came, and was screaming at the police about how we always run in front of him – we don’t.”
Even though Zimmerman says there were four witnesses reported to be at the scene of the alleged crime, the Saginaw Township Police Department have not yet filed any charges against Roummel and they have told media outlets that the incident is under investigation and they don’t have any information to release.
A crowdfunding campaign on GiveSendGo was started for Zimmerman and currently has a little over $10K in the fund. The campaign’s sponsor says on the website, “After years of faithfully praying and advocating outside an abortion clinic in Saginaw, MI, our pro-life brother, Mark Zimmerman, was viciously targeted and intentionally hit by an abortionist. Mark suffered a broken leg from the attack and will have to have surgery to repair the fracture. At this time, we are raising funds to help with the medical bills for Mark and possible attorney fees as he considers legal action against the abortionist.”
The information on the fundraising campaign website claims that after Roummel hit Zimmerman “the abortionist got out of his vehicle after the attack and laughed at Mark as he lay injured on the ground.”
This is apparently not the first time this kind of thing has happened involving Roummel. Live Action News reports that Roummel was arrested in 2012 and charged with assault after striking pro-life activist Lynn Mills with his car. The result was that Roummel being placed on probation for six months.

Michigan News Source has also learned that Mills was at the center of Roummel getting his license restricted and having to pay fines in 2014 for not being in compliance with the state of Michigan. According to online records with the state of Michigan, Roummel had his pharmacy/drug control license restricted, was fined and reprimanded. The action came after Mills filed a complaint with Attorney General Bill Schuette.
In a separate allegation, the group 40 days for Life Lansing, had claimed that Roumell and one of his clinics was cited for not following Michigan law and offering an ultrasound view for an abortion client who wanted to see her baby was reportedly not given the choice.
Michigan News Source reached out to 40 Days for Life in Lansing about this latest incident with Roumell. CEO & President Shawn D. Carney responded by saying, “Theodore Roummel is dangerous to the women he claims to serve and the pro-life people of his community. Twice the 88-year old has violently attacked pro-life citizens. His most recent attack, running over a peaceful volunteer, Mark Zimmerman, is the latest installment of how out of control and dangerous he is. As Mark laid on the ground after being run over, Theodore just laughed at him. He needs to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law including charging him with a hate crime since he continues to target pro-life members of his community. This is in addition to an ongoing investigation of Theodore ignoring state laws on ultrasounds by refusing to let women see the ultrasound before they decided on abortion. Not only should Theodore not be practicing medicine, he needs to be in prison.”
