DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced this week that it will make investments in 19 states, including Michigan, to create new and better markets for agricultural producers and food businesses.

Michigan’s recipient is Verndale Products, Inc., located in Detroit.

Verndale Products, a family owned and operated company, will use a $5 million loan to purchase and install equipment at both of its dairy manufacturing plants, doubling the company’s production capabilities.

They produce milk products that are shipped all across North America.
