The Spartan Strong Fund will support students, families, and employees still dealing with the impact of the shooting which left three students dead before the gunman killed himself.

MSU officials said the plan prioritizes support for families of loved ones who were lost, injured students and their families, physically uninjured individuals in the two Berkey Hall classrooms and food court kitchen inside the MSU Union, and mental health care reimbursement for students, faculty, staff and first responders impacted by the shooting.

Roughly $1 million will support those most directly impacted by the tragedy while $500,000 is earmarked for the reimbursement of mental health care services.

In addition, $300,000 and any remaining contributions to the fund in excess of $2 million will create and install a permanent memorial on MSU’s campus.
