DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Scoring two runs in the seventh inning, Detroit broke a 3-3 tie as they won the final game of the series over Seattle, 5-3. Jason Foley worked the seventh inning receiving the win recording one strikeout as Alex Lange earned his seventh save striking out two batters in the ninth inning.

“It’s a big win before an off day, salvage a game in a series where we had a hard time getting runs across. And the way that we did it, getting ahead, then falling behind and then controlling the strike zone as an offense, I thought our at-bats were pretty good today against some really good pitching,” said Tigers’ manager A.J. Hinch.
