LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Memorial Day Weekend marks the unofficial start to summer in Michigan, and many people will be traveling to a picnic, the beach, or their place “Up North.”

In order to help Michiganders get from Point A to Point B, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is moving orange barrels to the side of the road and removing lane restrictions on 81 road and bridge projects statewide to ease traffic delays. It will run from Friday, May 26 through the morning of Tuesday, May 30.
