DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – A third period surge of goals in a three-minute period led to Detroit’s 4-3 victory over Chicago. Detroit is now 29-26-9 and in seventh place in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference with 67 points.

Chicago jumped out to a 2-0 lead at the end of the first period with goals at 15:51 on a power play and 17:58. It was the second period that the Red Wings tied the game at two. Jake Walman cut the lead to one, 2-1, a 2:53 on assists from Moritz Seider and Alex Chiasson for his seventh goal of the year. Dylan Larkin tied the game at two at 18:34 on a power play when Chiasson and David Perron fed him the puck.

The lead went back to Chicago at 6:10 in the third period but two goals in three minutes gave Detroit the win. Lucas Raymond recorded his 16th goal of the year at 12:36 to tie the game at three. Just over three minutes later, Dominik Kubalik netted the game winner at 15:53 as Detroit hung onto the win.

Ville Husso saw 20 shots saving 17 in the win saving a shot at 19:54 in the third period securing the victory.

Detroit will head to Boston on Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. faceoff on ABC.
