School officials canceled all Wednesday events scheduled to be onsite in the district, including the middle school orchestra concert, high school theater practice, driver’s education classes, archery practice and other events scheduled at any district schools.
Authorities said an unknown individual made a threatening post on Snapchat that included a photo of a gun and this message: “everyone [would be] dying at east lansing tomorrow” [sic].
The East Lansing Police Department said officers traced an IP address; they conducted a search and interviewed individuals. School officials said they did not find a weapon, but said someone admitted to posting the threats.
