MARQUETTE, Mich. (Michigan News Source)- The Marquette County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to rename Sawyer International Report to Marquette Sawyer Regional Airport. The name change is a part of a 20-million-dollar re-branding project at the airport. It will get a new logo and color scheme as well as new asphalt for the taxiway and expanding the current terminal and upgrading security measures to allow larger aircraft to use it. Renovations should be complete in 2027.
