DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Amazon is beginning to hire for more than 1,200 full-time positions for the new fulfillment center in Detroit.

The company says the 3.8-million-square-foot facility could be open by the middle of this year.

The company has positions available in picking and shipping customer orders, receiving inventory, and supporting logistics. Amazon says starting pay averages $19 per hour.
