WASHINGTON (Michigan News Source) – Democratic U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin (MI-07), who is a rumored frontrunner to replace retiring U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow, has announced she and her husband are divorcing.

The 46-year-old Slotkin and Dave Moore, who married in 2011, issued a joint statement to the Detroit Free Press over the weekend. “After careful consideration, we are saddened to announce that we are divorcing after 12 years of marriage. We’ve reached this decision together after much reflection and we do it on agreeable terms.”

Slotkin won reelection in November 2022 but not without raising a few eyebrows. She moved to Lansing to accommodate her newly drawn congressional district. Michigan voter registration data shows Slotkin listed the address of a home in Lansing owned by frequent campaign donor Jerry Hollister.

Hollister is an executive at Niowave Inc., a Lansing-based pharmaceutical manufacturing company that has received millions in federal funding.
