DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Within one point in the final minute of the game, Detroit couldn’t get the break needed to pull off a win over Toronto as they dropped the contest, 95-91. Marvin Bagley III led the team with 21 points and 18 rebounds as James Wiseman had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Jaden Ivey made two free throws with 53 seconds left to come within one, 91-90. Detroit had a chance to take the lead with 16 seconds left but Bagley III missed a shot and then Toronto made both free throws for a three-point lead, 93-90. Bagley III then made one-of-two at the line to come within two, 93-91, but Toronto made both free throws on a foul to end the game, 95-91.
It was a close first half as it was tied at 22 at the end of the first quarter and then at 44 at the half.
Detroit will be at home on Monday night at 7:00 p.m. when they host Charlotte.
