ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Six players scored in double figures for the University of Michigan as they ran away with the game, 93-72, in Ann Arbor. It was the first time since 2019 that six players scored in double figures for Michigan.

“It was great to see our players make plays. They were playing unselfish and our defense created a lot of our offense,” said head coach Juwan Howard. “We didn’t meet our goals though.”

Jett Howard led the team with 22 points as Hunter Dickinson had his 25th career double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Kobe Bufkin followed with 13 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Dug McDaniel gave 14 points as Joey Baker had 11 points and Terrance Williams III 10 points. Nebraska’s Keisei Tominaga led his team with 24 points.

There were six lead changes early in the first half. Nebraska took a one-point lead, 12-11, at 14:34 but Michigan went on a 14-0 run over three minutes for a 13-point lead, 25-12. The following five minutes was great momentum for the Wolverines outscoring Nebraska, 16-5, to take control of the game, 41-17. Nebraska did cut the lead to 12, 46-34, at the half, on a 17-5 run.

Nebraska came within nine, 48-39, to start the second half. Their momentum didn’t last long as Michigan made seven of their next nine shots for a 19-point lead, 64-45, on two Howard free throws. Nebraska didn’t go away easily with an 11-0 run to pull within 10, 68-58, with 8:34 left to play. Nebraska came within single digits until the final four and half minutes when Michigan went on a 12-0 to put the game away going up by 23 points, 90-67. The Wolverines won the game, 93-72, to move to 8-5 in the Big Ten.

The Wolverines will host Indiana at 6:00 p.m. on February 11 on ESPN.
