DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – The 2022 season continues to give the Detroit Lions great success as Frank Ragnow, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and T Penei Sewell have been named to the 2023 Pro Bowl. It is the first time since 2015 that Detroit has had three players at the Pro Bowl as Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson, and Golden Tate all made it that year.

Ragnow made his second Pro Bowl of his career and had already been chosen for the Pro Bowl as a center. Brown and Sewell were first alternates and were named today when Philadelphia Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson and wide receiver A.J. Brown won’t be able to participate because they will be in the Super Bowl.

Sewell is in his second season at Detroit and has worked his way into becoming one of the top right tackles in the NFL. According to the Pro Football Focus, he was graded as the no. 4 right tackle overall and as the no. 2 run blocker in the NFL. He played 1,142 snaps this season allowing just two sacks and just six quarterback hits in 17 games.

St. Brown had a stellar season at wide receiver in his second season at Detroit. He caught 106 passes for 1,161 yards and six touchdowns. Over the past two years, he has 196 receptions tying Minnesota’s Justin Jefferson and New Orleans’ Michael Thomas for the most in NFL history in a player’s first two seasons.

The Pro Bowl will take place in Las Vegas on Sunday, February 5, and will be a different competition this year as a seven-on-seven flag football game.
