JACKSON, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Dr. Bolek Payan, a Jackson doctor who works as a psychiatrist, had been last seen at Henry Ford Allegiance Health on December 22nd. A post from the Blackman-Leoni Public Safety said that he was last seen on December 22nd leaving the Henry Ford Jackson Hospital. His vehicle was found at his residence in Leoni Township and he’s had no contact with his employer, family or friends.
Nicole, Keiser, has been watching Payan’s two dogs, Dottie and Mishka. She posted on her Facebook page on the morning of December 23rd, “I need my prayer warriors to come together with me the bible says where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them,” (Matthew 18:20) and as many people know my family and I babysit dogs and last night Bolek never came to get his dogs or call or text and that isn’t like him at all out of his character. I have the dogs they are perfectly fine my kids adore them. But his family has filed a missing person report so I could use some prayers for his family. My heart goes out to his family.”

His ex-wife, Ashley, appeared on the “Crime Lines and Lies” You Tube Channel recently from her home in Plainfield, Illinois and said that his truck, keys and wallet were still in his home but his phone was missing as well as her ex-husband. She said a camera outside of her garage showed Payan going towards his pole barn and then “drifting off” from there.
His ex-wife also mentioned that he had suffered a concussion the week before after falling at the hospital. He had collapsed and was unconscious. His co-worker, Matt, had found him on the floor. She said he had been stressed with his job and had mentioned not eating much. She said that she didn’t think he would hurt himself because of what that would do to his mom and grandma.
Unfortunately, the Blackman-Leoni Public Safety Facebook page just posted that Payan has been found deceased. They said, “At approximately 12:30 p.m. today, divers recovered the body of Dr. Payan from a pond on the property near his residence. Yesterday, detectives gained access into the home video camera system, which was password protected, and observed Dr. Payan leave the residence on foot on 12/22/22, in the mid-afternoon.”
They continued, “The property had been checked with K-9 dogs, drones and on foot. After not locating anything on land, holes were cut in the ice of a pond on the property yesterday and divers located Dr. Payan’s body under the ice today. Detectives believe Dr. Payan would have been deceased, prior to when he was reported missing, due to the weather conditions on the day that he left his residence and the fact that he was in the water. The Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office will be conducting an autopsy and toxicology testing, which will aid in further investigating this incident.”
They concluded, “We would like to thank the Jackson County Dive Team, Michigan Search and Rescue, J-DART, the neighbors, and the public for their assistance during this incident. Our thoughts are with Dr. Payan’s family and friends.”
