ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Olusegun Oluwatimi is a finalist as one of the top centers in the nation for the Rimington Trophy. He is the fourth Michigan player to be named a finalist as two have won the awardin David Baas (2004) and Davild Molk (2011).
Oluwatimi has helped Michigan to 13-0, a Big Ten Championship, and to the College Football Playoffs. He was a big part of helping Blake Corum to become one of the top running backs in the nation opening up holes for him and his 1,400 yards rushing. Earlier this week, he was named an All-Big Ten first-team selection. Michigan’s offensive line has the sixth best rushing offense in the nation averaging 5.97 yards per carry and are a finalist for the Joe Moore Award.

The offense has also only allowed 13 sacks in 13 games as he has not allowed any sacks at center in 260 pass-blocking snaps. There have only been nine total pressures coming through to him as he has started all 13 games.
He is a grad transfer to Michigan from Virginian where he was a three-year starter earning a degree in economics.
Michigan faces Texas Christian University on December 31 in the Fiesta Bowl.
